Meet Amy

Hi, I'm Amy Moore and I'm the real estate expert at Home Staging Mentors. I got into real estate as a marketing and promotions expert. I loved it and as we all know do what you love and it is never work! I was tasked with going into homes taking photos and writing copy that made buyers fall in love with the homes my company listed. My broker loved my unique and innovative take, and suggested that my talents would make me a killer agent, and I jumped. Who knew a background in marketing and communications would land me in the field of my dreams. Fast forward, I sold Karen her dream home in Western Pennsylvania...and our friendship blossomed into a shared passion for staging homes. We have partnered to bring The Home Staging Mentors to buyers, sellers and most importantly Real Estate Agents across the country with our unique digital products, informative podcasts, instructional videos, and to form an alliance of realtors who see Real Estate differently! Meet Karen

Hey there. I was born to design and to rearrange rooms, in fact I've been doing it since I was a kid. (I can still remember getting to choose my own comforter set for my bedroom out of the Spiegel Catalog...which I still have!) You see, I was born into a SoCal real estate family and homes and interiors were what my parents talked about at the dinner table. And Palm Springs was and still is an amazing place for homes and interiors...It all just stuck. Where we live and work matters greatly, and you should absolutely love every inch of your home! Occupied Staging Consultations

Your seller is living in their home while it's being marketed.

Consultation & Detailed Staging Report - $575

In this intensive and fun virtual two-hour consultation, we will be using a detailed Staging Report/Checklist to write down everything that needs to be done to get the home the best price possible! This detailed report packs a punch and will enable realtor or seller to achieve that perfect Designer look without paying for interior design time!

We start with a phone interview, so We can research your buyer demographic and prepare for our Consultation time.
Using a photo-filled, detailed staging checklist we walk through the home and discuss optimal, BIG return-on-investment, staging strategies that are designed to have big, emotional impact on your buyers
The detailed report also includes our essential "Open House Checklist" and "Closet Organization Checklist" and "Moving Made Simple" guide for your seller.
Includes a Design Board featuring suggested purchases and color schemes as needed.

Mini-Makeover - $1100

This staging service is all about rolling up our sleeves and physically staging the main areas of the home based upon the Staging Report recommendations.

We will make HUGE transformations using what you have to make the most of each space!
We will bring in gorgeous staging accessories in order to give you a visual shopping list and get higher impact photos
We will work for up to 4 hours in the home, Over 4 hours will revert to $350 and hour. We will photograph the transformations as we go.

One-Day Staging Make Over - $2100

Do you have a home that could use more than a few hours of work? No problem!

We will make HUGE transformations using what you have to make the most of each space!
We will design Concept Ready Design Boards
We will work for up to 7 hours in the home, as well as photograph the transformations as we go.

Home must be prepped and cleaned prior to The Home Staging Mentors arriving.
(Up to seven hours in the home with any additional hours reverting to a $350 hourly rate)

$125-250 per room, packages available

Homes that are empty are in special need of staging to increase their visibility on the MLS. Virtual Staging is an incredible solution for that home seller. Options include, Virtual Consultations which include a full staging report. THESE ARE NOT AI and have all the advantages of fabulous photos without the cost of installing furniture and accessories. We curate a shoppable list of products and install it in featured rooms. Most buyers can't visualize and more than 95% of buyers shop online at first.

During the Staging Day, I will bring in accessories in order to get fantastic photos for your Realtor’s marketing efforts and to attract Internet traffic. Over 95% of home buyers are online searching for homes BEFORE they visit a home, so we want to make an excellent first impression and compel them to come to your home.

Although professional staging is a relatively new industry, people have been "fixing up" their homes to sell for decades. These days due to HGTV home buyers have an "expectation" and are willing to pay quite a bit more for a home that is "model home" looking.

What is home staging?

Home Staging is the preparation of a home to sell by a professional who specializes in this form of design and has been certified and trained on the art of home staging. Many definitions you have seen no doubt stop after the word “sell” and that is part of the big misconception and devaluation of home staging. A professional home stager has the resources and can objectively view the home as a product and highlight its assets while downplaying its flaws. The home seller cannot view their home objectively, while many successful Realtors do not have the time or trade resources to properly stage a home.

How much does home staging cost?

For as little as a few hundred dollars you can have a detailed list of what you can do to maximize the value of your home!

Why can't I stage my own home?

Home sellers are usually incapable of successfully staging their own home. Why? Because our homes are like our children, we don’t always see all of its flaws. We’ve gotten used to the way it looks and in fact it is difficult emotionally to change it. If you can’t view something objectively then you are unable to market and package it effectively. Not to mention most home sellers don't "stage" homes everyday for a living. That’s what HSR Certified professionals are for and that is where the greatest returns come in.

Why do I need to stage?

Even if your house sells quickly in a good market, it doesn’t mean it sold for the amount it would have sold for had it been professionally staged. Remember, HSR Certified professionally staged homes sell on a conservative average for10%+ more in a good market (see the Latest Home Staging Statistics).

Can't home buyers use their imagination and look past my decor or empty rooms?

Only a mere 10% of home buyers can actually visualize the potential of a home and most of these folks are "investors" or "flippers" who will hammer you on price. In our Consultation walk through, I will identify those "price eroding" factors of your home, so that you can do the simple fixes that maximize returns.

This is also why having a vacant home professionally staged is so important. Buyers cannot visualize size and scale so furniture helps to give them a frame of reference.
